Context

A major Swiss bank aimed to develop a digital platform to strengthen financial literacy for both private individuals and small and medium-sized businesses.

Two parallel initiatives existed within the organization, each addressing different user groups and learning needs. The challenge was to consolidate these efforts and define a clear strategic direction for a unified digital learning platform.

The objective of the project was to define a product vision, MVP scope and development roadmap for a scalable financial education platform.

My Role

As Senior Consultant at Merkle, I did the experience strategy and product concept development.

My role focused on translating strategic objectives and research insights into a clear product vision and a validated Minimum Viable Product (MVP). I worked closely with stakeholders across the organization to align business goals, user needs and product priorities.

Approach

The project followed a structured vision-to-MVP process.

First, desk research, exploratory interviews and quantitative analysis were conducted to understand the needs, expectations and behaviors of the target audiences.

Based on these insights, personas and customer journeys were developed to visualize the learning experience and identify key opportunities for the platform.

Through a series of consolidation and ideation workshops, two internal initiatives were merged into a unified product vision. Key platform features were prioritized and translated into a clear MVP scope.

Finally, wireframes and a prototype were created and validated through user testing, enabling the team to refine the concept and define the roadmap for further development.
